It is also a good source of calcium, magnesium, pantothenic acid, phosphorus, and amino acids. It can also be grown out for cat grass. Barley organic sprouting seeds are usually harvested just after they sprout their first roots. Unlike alfalfa and mung beans, they are not grown for the vegetative stem and leaves. Barley is not as sweet as some other sprouted grains, but it is a nutritional powerhouse. It is also very quick from soak to harvest.

How to Grow Sprouts
